To celebrate the publication of his latest book, Another Light: Jacques-Louis David to Thomas Demand, Michael Fried presented a film screening and lecture at the National Gallery of Art on February 22, 2015. After showing Thomas Demand?s brilliant stop-motion film Pacific Sun (2012), Fried presents his analysis of the film?both in its own right and in relation to Demand?s much-admired photographic work.
